IT education should be practical. Hansei actively helps students conduct research projects with local industries. IT experts need to acquire professional knowledge and use it flexibly while maintaining an active and creative attitude. The Hansei IT program develops students who can adapt to changing industry conditions, not only in Korea but around the world.

  1. Electronic Software major

    The electronic software program combines electronic engineering (electronics, electrical, communication, semiconductor engineering, etc.) and computer engineering (software and hardware) to train students to be creative and professional engineers with a solid background in both theory and practice. After studying basic subjects freshman year including Mathematics, Science and C language, students move on to major classes from their sophomore year. These include circuit theory, electromagnetics, electronic circuits, communication theory and digital engineering for electronic engineering majors, and Java programming, Linux, OS, data structure, computer architecture and embedded systems for computer engineering majors. A wide variety of lectures, research projects and lab experiments are offered to students so that they, after graduation, will be competent workers in R&D, management and planning divisions at electronic, electric, communication, semiconductor and computer companies.

  2. Information and Communication Technology major

    At present, over 30 percent of Korea’s GDP as well as 40 percent of exports are in the field of information technology. The Information Communication Technology program is a convergence study of information, communications, computers, and electronics. This program provides students with various opportunities including shipbuilding, construction, and transportation as well as medical and automobile fields. The ICT program educates students with the knowledge required by corporations to be utilized immediately in the workforce through theological education and a rich practical curriculum.

  3. Industrial Security major

    As the industrial market becomes more refined and specialized, the need for an Industrial Security Major has become apparent in recent years. The purpose of this Major is to train industrial security specialists who have comprehensive knowledge of security issues in terms of human and material resources. Hansei seeks to foster experts who are needed at national organizations, private enterprises and research institutions. Students gain an active understanding of theory and practice in intellectual property rights, information & communication as well as industrial security.
